Research Board Grant: A Research Scholar is eligible to apply for support of their research of up to $10,000 during the lifetime of their appointment as a Research Scholar. An application for a grant may be made at any regular Research Board deadline. Awards from the Research Board are mainly in the form of research assistantships, equipment, extraordinary supplies and other research expenses, publication subventions, and travel to research sites. Requests for other types of support may be considered if the request represents a critical research need or an important opportunity. Prior consultation with the Executive Secretary of the Research Board is advised for requests for unusual types of support.

Scholars' Travel Fund: Research Scholars are also eligible to apply for Scholars' Travel Fund awards using the criteria and deadlines of that program. Funds awarded are applied to the total maximum of $10,000 for which Scholars are eligible.
