Appointments
are made annually. Renewal for at least two additional years,
however, would normally be expected in order to give scholars
a chance to seek and obtain external support to continue
their work. If warranted, annual reappointment might
continue indefinitely, but continuation of space and access
to Research Board support cannot be promised. The
resources and facilities necessary to carry out externally
sponsored work must be provided for in the budget of proposals
submitted to external sponsors.
Renewals for Research Scholar status will be processed during
the fall semester. Each scholar will be sent a renewal form
to be completed and returned to the Research Board Office.
